From a Sophora Pod to a Global Order — Inside Hunan Noksoul Biological Technology

Company News · Hunan Noksoul Biological Technology Co., Ltd. · October 2026

In Hongjiang, Huaihua, in the west of Hunan Province, China, sits a factory with a simple promise: take botanical raw materials — sophora pods, sea buckthorn berries, mango leaves — and turn them into plant extracts graded from 10% up to 98% purity, batch after batch, fully traceable, delivered to production lines around the world.

That company is Hunan Noksoul Biological Technology Co., Ltd., known to our global customers as VistaExtract. We are a source factory dedicated to the R&D, manufacturing, sales and technical service of natural plant active ingredients, guided by one idea: “Extract botanical essence, empower the health industry.”

What makes us different is not a single product — it is the fully integrated supply chain behind every order: sourcing, extraction, R&D, quality control and global sales, all executed, recorded and traceable within our own facility.

1. Sourcing: Quality Is Decided Before the Raw Material Reaches the Factory

The ceiling of an extract's quality is largely set the moment the botanical enters the plant. That is why our first quality gate is in the field, not at the factory door.

  • Own cultivation bases and a qualified supply chain. Core botanicals such as sophora fruit, sea buckthorn and polygonatum are sourced directly at origin and processed nearby, reducing the freshness and consistency losses caused by long intermediated supply chains.
  • Botanical identity control and graded intake. Every incoming batch is checked for species, origin and harvest information, then graded by source. The same species from different origins follows different process routes — this is how batch-to-batch comparability is achieved.
  • Upcycling processing by-products. Phloretin from apple pomace, mangiferin from mango leaves: fruit-processing by-products become high-value raw materials — lower cost, and more sustainable.

2. Manufacturing: 4,200 m² of Standardized Production, One Signature Process

Our production base operates a 4,200 m² standardized plant with an invested 22-tonne-per-year plant extract production line, run in accordance with ISO, GMP and HACCP standards.

Two capabilities define our process portfolio:

  • A first-in-China co-extraction process for five actives from sophora fruit. From a single batch of Sophora japonica raw material we simultaneously produce sophoricoside, genistein, kaempferol, quercetin and rutin. Raw-material utilization and batch consistency are significantly better than traditional single-compound routes — making Noksoul a source supplier of genistein, sophoricoside, kaempferol, isorhamnetin and total sophora flavonoids in China.
  • Hunan's exclusive high-purity natural hirudin production line. A dedicated hirudin extraction line with an annual capacity of 1.5 tonnes delivers stable, scalable output from raw material to finished high-activity product.

With complete in-house lines for extraction, concentration, separation and purification, crystallization and drying, we produce grades from 10% to 98% (HPLC) of the same botanical: lower grades for blending and extract-form products, high-purity grades for reference standards and impurity-sensitive applications — from gram-scale samples to ton-scale orders.

3. R&D: A 1,700 m² Laboratory That Makes "Customization" Routine

Next to the plant is our 1,700 m² analytical and R&D laboratory. Our research team cooperates closely with Central South University of Forestry and Technology in industry–university partnerships, continuously improving extraction, separation and purification processes — work that has resulted in multiple invention patents.

For customers, R&D capability shows up in one practical way: customization. Target specifications, testing methods, dosage forms and packaging can all be taken as development inputs, handled by dedicated technical engineers. A new synthetic-biology R&D laboratory — with aseptic R&D, fermentation and analytical zones — is under construction, preparing the technology platform for the next generation of biosynthesized ingredients.

4. Quality Control: Every Batch Leaves with Its Own File

“Stable specifications, complete documents, always verifiable” — for every single batch. That is the baseline promise our QC system exists to keep.

  • Batch-by-batch release testing. Assay, appearance, loss on drying, heavy metals, microbials and other routine items are tested on every batch; assay is determined by HPLC, with chromatograms available on request.
  • Complete documentation. Every batch ships with a COA; MSDS, TDS, test methods and chromatographic conditions are provided as needed, supporting regulatory requirements in your target market.
  • Retained samples and full traceability. Every batch is retained and archived with a traceable batch number — from botanical origin and process parameters to finished-product data, everything can be traced back.

5. Global Sales: Samples First, Trust Before the Order

Our service model stands on four commitments: samples first — validate before you commit; documents with every batch — COA, MSDS and TDS as needed; customizable specifications — from gram samples to ton-scale orders; and responsive technical support — dedicated engineers for process and application questions.

Today, Noksoul products are exported to Europe, the Americas, Southeast Asia, Japan and Korea, supported by long-term partnerships across the industry. Wherever you are, you can explore products and request documents at www.vistaextract.com — and you are always welcome to visit our factory: see the materials, the lines and the lab before you decide.
